“Empty the bucket” - Inky Johnson.
What exactly does he mean? Johnson goes on to inform listeners in his 39-minute speech titled TRY TO STOP ME -One of the most powerful speeches ever motivation. The foundation is as follows:
Johnson has 3 buckets in his house. The first in his bedroom, the latter in his office, and the final in his weight room. Every day he empties his bucket, and he gives everything he can, every effort, and every attention to the surroundings of these buckets, no matter the circumstance. He says he deserves to give his family his best version of himself, his people of service to him at work; the best version, and finally the best version of himself when he is lifting weights.
Where do you place your buckets? More importantly, as you read that question, are you giving all you can to those areas in your life? If not, you can now attempt to fix that. If you can’t think of somewhere you would put your bucket, attempt to, and then give all you can to those areas.
Empty the buckets. In doing so, you not only create the best version of yourself but you unconsciously better those around you and propel them in their journey to become the best version of themselves. You have an impact on this world, even if it is small, you have the opportunity to make your impact a great one.
